Chinese receptionists impressed guests in the Beijing Olympic 2008
Along with material facilities preparation for the Beijing Olympic 2008, Chinese Government trained thousands of receptionists for this event. Therefore, training this large receptionist team is not less important than training other athletes who would participate in the competition.

China have started to train the first 1250 girls at Changping School, on the outskirts of Beijing. This school is usually called “School of beauty”.


Chinese government did all their best to prepare for a successive sport event. The girls, who hope to be selected, have to practice so hard protocol lessons so that thay could appear along with the athletes in the giving-medals ceremonies.

More than 560,000 people applied to become volunteers for Olympic 2008 – the largest number in the history of Olympic Games. Howeve, none of these 100,000 selected people could be more attractive than the young girls of Changping School.
110 girls selected from 2000 appliers is practicing keeping balance with a book on their heads in a training class at Thanh Đao, Sơn Đông province. Standing hours on high-heel shoes, trying to have professional figures by keeping a piece of paper between their legs while holding a chopstick between their teeth is part of the training course.
All of them need to be slim, attractive, and more than 1.68m tall (10cm higher than normal Chinese women). They need to have big eyes and warm smiles…

The girls at Changping school don’t have time for their boyfriends. After learning protocol lessons, they also learn dancing, and study about Chinese tradition and history.

Nevertheless, some of them can’t meet these high standards of the Beijing Olympic committee. These standards include light skin.

Wang – a volunteer receptionist for Beijing Olympic said “My mother was sick but she didn’t tell me until she got over. She wants me to focus on practicing. She is very proud if I can contribute to this event.’
Olympic become a chance for China to promote there image. The girls compete to be selected as receptionists for the Olympic Games and they know the world will pay attention to them. That is the reason why they put the Games above many other things, including their families.





Receptionists need to be professional. According to Le Thanh Tu, that is a firm oundation to build a valuable receptionist industry.
Young person, according to Le Thanh Tu – Managing director of Jolie Siam, does not care too much about risks and is brave enough to go ahead to test new methods
