On the 14th of July, we at Jolie Siam had a jubilation of special significance, where we joined our dear French friends in celebrating Bastille Day.
Despite being separated by 10,000 kilometers from France, we came together in the scorchingly hot Ho Chi Minh City on the French national day to reminisce about our not-so-distant origins.
Jolie Siam was founded in 2006 by Vietnamese Thanh Tu and French Blandine Peillon, who had previously met in Lyon, France and discovered the huge potential of combining the renowned French service quality and the famed Vietnamese hospitality in one enterprise.
“Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai qui tu es.” – ‘Tell me what you eat and I will tell you who you are.’
Today, 14 years later, Jolie Siam represents the benchmark of quality receptionist services in Vietnam with a French touch.
In 2020 we are still very proud of this heritage, which has a profound impact on our daily lives when we work together at Jolie Siam. That is the reason why we like to celebrate our European ties whenever we get the chance to do so.
To fully indulge in French culture on Bastille day we decided to enjoy a taste of world-renowned French cuisine and visited Cocotte restaurant in Da Kao Ward of District 1.
“On ne fait pas d’omelette sans casser des œufs.” – ‘You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.’
To conclude our delicious lunch and as a reward for answering these questions our team enjoyed some delicious French desserts such as ‘Crème brûlée’ and ‘mousse au chocolat’.
